Ted Belleza – President & CEO
Ted is a Monterey Bay Area based serial entrepreneur with over 35 years’ experience creating and commercializing endoscopic instruments used in urology, gynecology and general surgery. Several of his past ventures experienced liquidity events that rewarded shareholders. Ted co-founded his immediate past venture in 2010 which was acquired in 2014. He crafted and successfully executed the strategy and tactics that resulted in the exit. In addition to his passion for entrepreneurship, Ted relishes time spent with family, wildlife photography and wandering with his wife in their RV.
Jack Snoke – COO & CTO
Jack is an entrepreneur/industrial designer. He started and grew INNO, an Atlanta-based full-service design and development consultancy that developed medical devices for Johnson & Johnson, CR Bard and Abbott Labs among others, and consumer products for Coca-Cola and Sears Craftsman Power Tools. After selling the company, he continued developing and licensing medical products to such companies as BIOMET and consumer products to Weber Grills. In his most recent venture Jack developed an endoscope sheath with a deflectable tip licensed to a third party.
John J. Smith MD, FACS – CMO
Dr. Jack Smith has been involved with research and teaching for his entire 26-year career. From his days as a master’s candidate in Physiology at Georgetown to Urology training at the Lahey Clinic in Boston, he has been involved in clinical research and scientific trials as well as mentoring scores of residents and medical students. He has a keen interest in bladder dysfunction and sphincter function. He has held academic posts while affiliated with Harvard, Tufts and Wake Forest (WF), including the WF Institute of Regenerative Medicine.
Philip Allred – VP R&D
Philip has spent over 20 years developing medical devices. After starting as a co-op in high school working for a multinational medical instrument company, he has built a successful contract product development company. His portfolio of successful products includes endoscopes, catheters for brain aneurysm and for deep vein thrombosis, and instruments for spinal fusion, urodynamics and biometrics. He is a named inventor in 16 patents.
Chloe Chan – Consulting CFO
Chloe Chan is known as the archetypal CFO for high tech start-ups; this was quoted on CNBC’s Power Lunch during her third company’s IPO. Chloe’s successful IPOs include Adaptec, Inc., Auspex Systems, and Alteon WebSystems which eventually lead to the M&A with Nortel Networks. She was V.P. Finance and Chief Financial Officer at Ruckus Wireless, Inc., Outspark, Inc., LiveLeaf Bioscience, Inc. and Grazix Animal Health, Incr. She most recently guided the acquisition of Otosense by Analog Devices Inc.
